Ted Cruz booed over not endorsing Donald Trump during RNC speech

Cleveland, OH – Former Republican presidential candidate’s, Ted Cruz, decision not to endorse nominee Donald Trump, has caused a major backlash, expressed both by party members and voters.

Mr. Cruz told delegates and convention attendees to “vote their conscience” instead of urging them to directly vote for Mr. Trump.

It is worth noting that a number of leading Republican voices have clarified that they will be backing Mr. Trump for the November election, despite the fact that they had opposed his policies in the past.

To those listening, please, don’t stay home in November. If you love our country, and love your children as much as I know you do, stand, and speak, and vote your conscience, vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom and to be faithful to the Constitution,” Mr. Cruz said during the convention.

Mr. Curz mentioned Mr. Trump only once during his speech, just to congratulate him for clinching the nomination.

As it was becoming apparent that Mr. Cruz was not planning to endorse Mr. Trump at that particular speech, the cheers suddenly became boos, while security escorted Mrs. Cruz out of the arena because ““it was volatile and the Trump folks were physically approaching and confrontationally yelling,”, Former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli told ABC News through text.

“People from my own delegation were physically approaching her while yelling at her. So, I physically moved media out of her way, and got in the way of my own delegation so she could clear by and get out of the arena,” Mr. Cuccinelli further added.

Furthermore, Mr. Cruz not endorsing Donald Trump does not come as much of a surprise, considering the rivalry the two had, especially during the last month of the race.

Days before Mr. Cruz dropped from the race, Mr. Trump negatively commented on Mrs. Cruz looks, while he also alleged that Mr. Cruz’s father could have been an associate to JFK’s murder.

Bernie Sanders endorses Hillary Clinton for President of the United States

New Hampshire, US – Former Democratic presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders, announced at a press event that he is endorsing presumptive Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, for president of the United States.

Mrs. Clinton, who joined Mr. Sanders during the announcement of his endorsement, thanked Senator Sanders for his support, which is vital at this point of the campaign.

Being here with him in New Hampshire, I can’t help but reflect how much more enjoyable this election is going to be now that we’re on the same side,” she said. “Now, with your help, we are joining forces to defeat Donald Trump, win in November and together build a future we can all believe in.

During his New Hampshire speech, Senator Sanders primarily focused on attacking the Republican party’s presidential nominee, real estate mogul and billionaire, Donald J. Trump.

Mr. Sanders characterized Mr. Trump’s economic policy as ‘reckless‘, while claiming that his foreign policy will cause division within the nation, especially amongst Latino and Muslim Americans.

The Senator from Vermont also condemned Mr. Trump’s controversial anti-Mexican and anti-Muslim comments, such as his proposal to build a wall at the Mexican border and temporarily banning Muslims from entering the United States.

In these stressful times for our country, this election must be about bringing our people together, not dividing us up,” Mr. Sanders commented. “While Donald Trump is busy insulting Mexicans, Muslims, women, African Americans and veterans, Hillary Clinton understands that our diversity is one of our greatest strengths. Yes. We become stronger when black and white, Latino, Asian American, Native American – all of us – stand together. Yes. We become stronger when men and women, young and old, gay and straight, native born and immigrant fight to rid this country of all forms of bigotry.

Furthermore, Senator Sanders’ decision to endorse Secretary Clinton comes as a result of a two-month negotiation period between the two candidates’ campaign managers.

More specifically, Mrs. Clinton had to include new fundamental points in her campaign, such as increasing the minimum wage, establishing tuition-free colleges and investing in universal health care, in order to secure Mr. Sanders’ endorsement.

Minnesota man killed in police shooting during traffic stop

MINNEAPOLIS, US –  Philando Castile, a 32-year old man from Minnesota, has died during an officer-involved shooting whilst being pulled over for a routine traffic stop, local authorities have announced.

The incident took place in St. Paul suburb of Falcon Heights, where the local police have confirmed the man’s death. Castile’s mother told news outlets that her son left his final breath in Hennepin County Medical Center.

Being in charge of police services for the neighboring cities of Falcon Heights and Lauderdale, the St. Anthony Police Department official press release on the matter states that officers asked for a vehicle to pull over at around 9 p.m.

While the procedure was being executed, “shots were fired” and a handgun was recovered at the scene, the department mentioned in it statement.

Three passengers were sitting in the car; Castile himself, who was the driver, his girlfriend Diamond Reynolds at the front passengers’ seat and her young daughter at the rear one.

Reynolds provided local media and the police department with what she had witnessed at the scene, which is substantiated by the video she recorded on her cellphone.

The video, which Reynolds uploaded to Facebook, illustrates the aftermath of the shooting, showing Castile reaching for his wallet, while informing officers that he had a registered firearm in his possession, with a conceal-and-carry permit, which was currently located in the car.

Castile’s girlfriend then suggested that the police officer shot Castile four times. In the video, it seems that the particular officer was severely emotionally overcharged, as he can be seen saying, “I told him not to reach for it! I told him to get his hand out.

Reynolds then responded in a composed manner, “You told him to get his I.D., sir, his driver’s license.

The phone’s camera is turned over to Castile, who was covered in blood.

Oh my God, please don’t tell me he’s dead. Please don’t tell me my boyfriend just went like that,” Reynold says.

The officer behind the shooting, who maintained pointing his gun into the open passenger side front window, tells Reynolds to “keep your hands where they are.

Yes I will, sir, I’ll keep my hands where they are,” Reynolds replies.

Reynolds is then told to exit the vehicle. The video then shows several officers at the scene with guns drawn towards the car, while one of them is holding Reynolds’ daughter.

President Obama and VP Biden won’t visit colleges that mishandle sexual assaults

President Obama and other high-ranking officials of the administration announced that they won’t be visiting colleges whose leaders they consider “insufficiently serious” when it comes to sexual assault on campus.

Besides the President and the First Lady, the decision to boycott educational institutions that fail to address campus-based sexual assaults has been joined by Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, as well as a number of prominent Cabinet members.

This information comes from Washington Post’s Sunday report, which cites officials close to both the President and the VP.

According to the Post, Mr. Biden urged the federal government to “take away their money“ from colleges that do not reform their insufficient policy regarding incidents involving sexual assaults against male, female and transgender students.

In addition to that announcement by the VP, Mr. Biden told the Washington Post that the matter of campus sexual assaults has been under his consideration since his first term in the White House, back in 2008.

More specifically, the VP stated that he asked President Obama to raise awareness about the issue and requested a staff that would study gun violence against women.

The Vice President talked about Mr. Obama’s response to the idea. “He said,Okay. He knew how strongly I felt about it. He always thought it was an awful abuse of power. But as his daughters grew, he became more explicitly focused on it,

Mr. Biden further added that over time the President had significantly shifted his focus and efforts on minimizing the issue at hand.

Furthermore, this joint-decision comes in the wake of the Stanford campus sexual assault scandal, where a male student engaged in illegal sexual contact with an unconscious female student.

Controversy about the matter sparked due to the judge’s six-month sentence verdict, despite the perpetrator being convicted of three counts of sexual assault.

Vice President Biden mentioned in an open letter to the Stanford victim. “It must have been wrenching — to relive what he did to you all over again. But you did it anyway, in the hope that your strength might prevent this crime from happening to someone else. Your bravery is breathtaking.

Protesters disappointed as grand jury frees officer in Ferguson shooting

Following the disappointing announcement that Darren Wilson, the police officer that shot and killed 18-year old unarmed Michael Brown would be let off the hook by the grand jury, hundreds of protesters broke loose and fired over 150 gunshots, razed down police cars, burned several buildings, and looted stores.

Anti-riot policemen arrested 29 persons, and a .45mm automatic handgun was seized by the police from the rioting crowd after series of pepper sprays, and smoke canisters had been fired to disperse the protesters.

According to Job Belmar, the St. Louis police department chief, “We have no loss of life, but I am disappointed the night turned out this way. What I’ve seen tonight is probably worse than the worst night we had in August.”

But after Bob McCulloch, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney announced the decision of the grand jury not to indict Darren Wilson, Brown’s mother, Lesley McSpadden, who was sitting atop a vehicle burst into tears and began screaming before she was whisked away by sympathizers.

But the Brown’ family immediately issued a statement, “We are profoundly disappointed that the killer of our child will not face the consequence of his actions. While we understand that many others share our pain, we ask that you channel your frustration in ways that will make a positive change. We need to work together to fix the system that allowed this to happen.”

And within one hour of the Ferguson’s grand jury’s announcement, President Obama asked people to remain calm and law-abiding, saying “I join Michael’s parents to ask anyone who protests this decision to do so peacefully. Let me repeat Michael’s father’s words: ‘Hurting others and destroying property is not answer. I do not want my son’s death to be in vain.'”

Comprised of 9 whites and 3 blacks, the grand jury met for a total 70 hours and cross-examined 60 witnesses – the panel had been meeting since August 20 for every week to examine evidence and witnesses before finally reaching a decision not to indict Darren Wilson in the shooting of Michael Brown.

Obama’s defense secretary bows out in unclear circumstances

Just less than two years in office as Defense secretary for President Obama, 68-year old Chuck Hagel bows out of the administration in very unclear circumstances. And this view is made more strong by Obama who while announcing Hagel’s resignation states that “If there’s one thing I know about Chuck, it’s that he does not make this or any other decision lightly.”

With about two dozen senior officials and cabinet secretaries in the State Dining Room of the White House, President Obama with Hagel standing next to him announced the departing Defense secretary had been an asset to his administration in spite of minor differences they experienced along the way. “We come from different parties, but in accepting this position, you sent a powerful message, especially to those in this city, that when it comes to our national security and our military families, our country always comes first.”

Being the first enlisted combat veteran to work as Defense secretary, Obama greatly commended Hagel for his service to the nation most especially as it relates to the US military in foreign missions. “He’s been in the dirt. He’s been in the mud. And that has established a special bond. He sees himself in them. They see themselves in him.” Obama said. “He volunteered for Vietnam and still has the scars and shrapnel from the battled he has fought.”

Joining Obama’s administration in February 2013, Hagel was up against militancy issues facing the US government on all sides. He led the fight against the ISIS in Syria and Iraq, and also confronted Ebola epidemics from West Africa. Having known Hagel since his days in the US senate, Obama single-handedly nominated him for the defense post even though Hagel is a Republican.

And though his Senate confirmation hearings were not without its own problems, even from party men, Sen. John McCain of Arizona states that “Secretary Chuck Hagel and I have had our differences over many years, but I have always considered him a friend, a patriot, and a dedicated public servant who has always put our country first and the needs of our men and women in uniform above his own.”

It is not clear why Hagel is leaving at this time, but White House officials made it clear that Hagel is not being forced down in any way, even though it appears he is not too cool with US’s foreign policies and some other similar things. It also came to the fore that the White House had cancelled a trip he was planning for Asia, with a stopover in Vietnam – and this cancellation seems to have gone wrong with Hagel – although he doesn’t appear to be laying it to heart in any way.

Prospects of violent disputes cause grand jury to take precaution in Ferguson

Tensions continue to escalate in Ferguson as citizens await the announcement of the grand jury over the August 9 shooting of a black teenager, Michael Brown Jr. The city is restless and on edge as they anticipate what the decisions of the grand jury might be, and commercial shops have locked down their shops and windows even as residents hunker down and speak in hushed tones. Waiting…to spring.

The authorities are aware of this tension, and they are taking possible steps to avert a possible outbreak of violence after the grand jury makes its decision. Federal and local law enforcement agents have been deployed to ensure law and order, and the restlessness of the 22,000 people living and working in Ferguson is palpable as they wait…and wait again.

Michael Brown, 18, was shot dead by Officer Darren Wilson, and the black community and human rights activists are calling for his head, calling for prosecution. The township of Ferguson does not know at the moment if Wilson will be indicted in the August 9 shooting or not, and they are more than ready to bare their minds and teeth if the authorities play foul.

“If I can’t open my doors every morning, I can’t feed my kids in the evening. Just don’t burn my shop down, don’t destroy it.” This was the plea of Natalie DuBose, the proprietor of Natalie Cakes and More and a mother of two, hoping her store will not become a target during protests, which potentially could become violent.

Although Brown’s father, Michael Brown Sr. called for peace and calm, President Barack Obama said in an ABC News interview that “This is a country that allows everybody to express their views, allows them to peacefully assemble, to protest actions that they think are unjust. But using any event as an excuse for violence is contrary to rule of law and contrary to who we are.”

A protester who has been streaming protest videos on YouTube, Bassem Masri, assured the authorities there won’t be any trouble if the police learned to be civil. “We’ve taken de-escalation courses. We’ve been doing our part. Anytime there’s anything going on, the police agitated it. They’re gonna learn how to police us. We don’t have to learn how to conform to them. They serve us, we don’t serve them,” he said.

Some schools in the Jennings area have closed their classes for Monday and Tuesday, but then once the grand jury reaches a decision, prosecutors are expected to provide law enforcement with 48 hours notice before the announcement goes public – and before then, prosecutors could ask the grand jury to shift their planned session.

Fear of isolating Latinos gives Obama upper hand in immigration reform

Most Republicans are obviously against US President Obama’s move to legalize the status of illegal immigrants in the United State, and they are set to put machineries in place to have their pound of flesh from Obama; the only problem is that they fear alienating the teeming numbers of the Latino community who would vote in the 2016 elections.

This idea is further strengthened by the polls conducted by Latino Decisions, a public opinion research firm that focuses on the Latino community; its founder, Matt A. Barreto states that the Republicans faces a grim risk by opposing Obama’s immigration efforts and this will reflect in the coming polls. “Their own 2012 post-mortem report highlights that they cannot espouse anti-immigrant rhetoric and win the Latino vote, and they are absolutely right,” he said, citing his firm’s election-eve poll that found nearly two-thirds of Latino voters thought that the Republican Party either did not care about them or was openly hostile to them.

“The issue here is that the president is promoting a policy that tries to keep children and parents together, and stop the detention and deportation of parents who have U.S. citizen children,” Mr. Barreto said. “Can the Republicans honestly face Latino voters and say, ‘We want the federal government to continue deporting parents who have young children?’ That is about the least family-values message I can think of and a sure way to write off the Latino vote in 2016 and beyond.”

A poll conducted by Wall Street Journal/NBC reveals that 48% Americans hated the idea that Obama acted single-handedly in granting immigrants statutory citizenship, and 38% liked that he did so. While 57% Americans like illegal immigrants to adhere to a pathway for legalizing their stay, 74% maintain that it would be fine for immigrants to stay provided they pay fines and any back taxes as well as pass background checks.

Mo Brooks, the Republican representing Alabama hate the idea that illegal Latino children could join the US military, and he has threatened to explore all means to impeach Obama if it comes to this. According to him, “I don’t want American citizens having to compete with illegal immigrants for jobs in our military. These individuals have to be absolutely 100 percent loyal and trustworthy.” But then, Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina, who sponsored the deadened bipartisan immigration bill cautions that “If you overreact, it becomes about us, not President Obama.

David Winston, a Republican pollster believes that the Republicans cannot speak with a unified voice on immigration concerns at the moment because they have not really met to reach a consensus on the matter, and this is what makes some senators speak with various voices on the issue.

Campus police shoot and kill lone gunman who wounded three in FSU library

Campus police at the Florida State University has shot and killed a lone gunman who wounded three with gunfire at the Strozier Library. The unidentified gunman had walked into the entrance of the library and opened fire at students reading within the facility. FSU’s campus police were drawn to the scene and confronted the gunman outside the library building – but when he fired at police instead of laying down his weapon – he was shot and killed at the scene.

The spokesman of Tallahassee Police Department, David Northway explained to reporters that “As FSU police officers were coming to the call they heard word that they had one victim who was shot. The initial report indicates that as the officer got to the area, they located the gunman near the entrance of Strozier Library and he was challenged by the police officers to drop his weapon. Instead of complying with their commands, the gunman in turn fired a shot at the officers and they returned fire, killing the suspect.”

Although the three wounded victims have been rushed off to the hospital for treatment, they were not identified and it is not immediately clear if they are students, and the extent of their injuries is not known at this moment. But the Tallahassee police are investigating the incident and handling the case.

John Thrasher, the Florida State University’s president was away to New York at the time of the shooting and was on his way back to the campus when the news got to him – but he has ordered that all classes scheduled for Thursday be cancelled forthwith.

Many students scrambled for safety within and outside the five-story library building when they heard several gunfire shots, and police evacuated some others to an adjacent building to ensure their safety. Most students in the library reported they heard as many as seven to eight rapid gunfire after hearing the first burst of gunfire, and police are still trying to confirm how many shots were fired by the gunman.

Republicans’ efforts pay off, President Obama to reform immigration plan

Although White House officials prefer to keep mute over it, facts have emerged that President Barack Obama might be in Las Vegas on Friday together with his aides to discuss options for transforming the immigration system, and he may even announce this move on Thursday. According to analysts, Obama is invoking executive orders to grant legal status to illegal immigrants within the United States because Republicans in the Congress have failed to pass all bills that address the nation’s damaged immigration system.

It is speculated that President Obama will announce his immigration plans in a speech Thursday, followed by a rally in Las Vegas on Friday. It is thought that Obama chose Las Vegas because he made a strong immigration speech there in January 2013, and also because Harry Reid, the Senate’s top democrat came from Nevada. Obama is even expected to speak at Del Sol High School, where he made his popular 2013 immigration speech.

Many Republicans in the House obviously go ahead Obama’s plans to legalize the status of illegal immigrants, and a particular individual even regarded him as “Emperor Obama.” The spokesman for House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, Michael Steel says that “If ‘Emperor Obama’ ignores the American people and announces an amnesty plan that he himself has said over and over again exceeds his Constitutional authority, he will cement his legacy of lawlessness and ruin the chances for Congressional action on this issue — and many others.”

Nevada is home to the highest number of undocumented populations, and this runs to about 210,000 undocumented immigrants, totaling about 10.2% of the entire population of Nevada, Las Vegas. Obama believes the Republican-dominated Congress is frustrating his plans to consider citizenship for thousands of undocumented immigrants applying to citizenship after 13 years of legalization process, but House Speaker John Boehner had frustrated the plans and killed the moves in 2013. Obama now believes it is high time he acted without any recourse to the Congress, and he could invoke executive powers to do that, mostly in the face of over 60,000 Central American children that flooded the southwest border – under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

President Obama says ISIS beheading of Americans is pure evil

In a statement released from aboard Air Force One and read to the news media in Washington, President Barack Obama as described the ISIS killing of its latest victim, aid worker Peter Kassig, as “pure evil.” The Islamic State had released a short video clip showing the severed head of Peter Kassig and then made a mockery of the US government’s efforts at fighting them in Iraq and Syria.

Peter Kassig was a former Army Ranger with the US Army, but turned to the supplies and delivery of medical aids to wounded soldiers and civilians in Syria when the war was over. He was taken from a checkpoint in northeastern Syria when delivering humanitarian medical supplies and has since then disappeared, but the release of the ISIS video showing his decapitated head confirms that he has actually been killed – making him the fifth Western national to be killed – three Americans and two UK citizens, by the Islamic terrorist group.

President Obama stated that Kassig “was taken from us in an act of pure evil by a terrorist group…today we offer our prayers and condolences to the parents and family of Abdul-Rahman Kassig, also known to us as Peter.” The president appeared to have intentionally used Kassig’s adopted Muslim name following his capture to indicate to the killers that they have indeed killed a fellow Muslim. He goes ahead to identify with the “anguish at this painful time” that the Kassig’s family must be going through.

In the short video clip proving Kassig’s death, a man in black robe with a British accent, who has been identified by the UK government as Jihadi John was seen holding the beheaded head of Peter Kassig up for display.

The robed exectutioner, Jihadi John, said “This is Peter Edward Kassig, a U.S. citizen of your country. Peter, who fought against the Muslims in Iraq while serving as a soldier under the American Army, doesn’t have much to say. His previous cellmates have already spoken on his behalf. You claim to have withdrawn from Iraq four years ago. We said to you then that you are liars.”

Peter Kassig who appeared to have a premonition of his death wrote a smuggled out letter to his parents this summer, “I am obviously pretty scared to die but the hardest part is not knowing, wondering, hoping, and wondering if I should even hope at all,” he writes. “Just know I’m with you. Every stream, every lake, every field and river. In the woods and in the hills, in all the places you showed me. I love you.”

US intelligence agents believe the video clip to be genuine even though it seemed different from the previous four executions that had been seen. In Kassig’s case, only the part showing the severed head is shown but in other executions, video events leading up to the actual slashing of knife to decapitate the victim had always been shown. Analysts believe that something must have gone awry with the ISIS when beheading Kassig – and this made them to show only his severed head without showing the actual killing act in itself.

4 die and 1 hospitalized as Texas chemical plant leaks hazardous gas

Aaron Woods, the spokesman for DuPont revealed that four workers lost their lives and another got hospitalized after breathing in toxic gas from a leaking chemical plant in Houston, Texas. Identified as methyl mercaptan, the chemical gas is used to manufacture insecticides and fungicides among other crop-protection products, and it is also used to odorize odorless natural gas for safety purposes.

According to health authorities, a valve at the DuPont industrial plant began leaking hazardous chemical methyl mercaptan around 4 am, but even though the leak was rectified and the gas release contained by 6 am, four workers within the premises had lost their lives to the unfortunate incident and another hospitalized. The immediate cause of the gas leak could not be immediately ascertained, but authorities are still investigating this – it should only be noted that more lives could have been lost if more workers were within the facility at the time the gas leak occurred.

According to Randall Clements, the plant manager, “there are no words to fully express the loss we feel or the concern and sympathy we extend to the families of the employees and their co-workers. We are in close touch with them and providing them every measure of support and assistance at this time.” DuPont has not identified the hospitalized gas victim or provided the names of the deceased workers.

The US Chemical Safety Board has dispatched a seven-man team to investigate the incident, and the plant manager, Clements, has vowed that DuPont will cooperate with local, state, and federal agencies to get to the bottom of the matter. He even stated that “as part of that investigation, we are conducting our own top-to-bottom review of this incident and we will share what we learn with the relevant authorities.”

320 DuPont employees worked at the La Porte plant facility, and four other businesses rented out some space at the complex, but Jeff Suggs, an emergency management coordinator for La Porte specified that that the gas smells like rotten eggs and that it was not toxic for residents living nearby, even though the odor from the gas leaks has travelled to about 40 miles away.

West Virginia university’s student dies at fraternity house after tweeting a message

Whether 18-year old Nolan Michael Burch, a freshman at the West Virginia University, knew he was going to die soon or aware of incidents that could result in his death remains for the police in Morgantown to solve, but the young man died a few days after tweeting a message and then being found unconscious at a fraternity house.

Burch had sent out a tweet saying “it’s about to be a very eventful night to say the least,” and then he died two days later after being taking to a hospital in an unresponsive state. He was also reported to have said in another tweet, “if you’re reading this, congratulations, you made it today. You made it.”

While Burch’s death remains a mystery that police are trying to solve, the team of police that arrived at the Kappa Sigma house in Morgantown on an alcohol-related call found someone performing CPR on him, and there were reports that other friends at the fraternity house party had challenged the late Burch into drinking large amount of liquor. No arrest has been made yet and no charges filed, but school authorities closed all frat and sorority activities in the school.

Burch was taken for treatment at Ruby Memorial Hospital before his death, and according to a source, “I can tell you that about 24 people were crowded into his hospital room singing “Take Me Home, Country Roads” not long before he died.” However, the family source further informed that Burch’s parents, Theron and Kimberly Burch remain shaken at the incident. “They’re just numb right now. They have donated his organs and are proud of that.”

Joyce Stamp, Burch’s great-aunt expressed shocks that “these things shouldn’t happen. He’s only 18. He’s a nice young man and I’m shocked.” But then she later added that “even very intelligent kids sometimes get caught up. You hear all the stuff about hazing, and this is his first time away from home.”

West Virginia University’s President E. Gordon Gee released a press release that “the outpouring of love and support from his friends and this community has been what you would expect from Mountaineers, and I would ask that you continue to keep the Burch family and many friends in your thoughts and prayers.”

The school authorities had suspended the activities of the Morgantown chapter of Kappa Sigma over violations of fraternity’s codes of conduct and its charter withdrawn and operations closed, friends and other WVU students continue to express shock at Burch’s death and urge the police to get to the root of the incident.

North Korea Finally Released The US Citizens

After several months of detention, North Korea finally releases the two Americans, Kenneth Bae and Matthew Todd Miller. As announced by the U.S. government said on Saturday, the U.S. citizens are returning home safe and sound in the company of the director of national intelligence James Clapper.

The news of the release of the two follows the release of another American Pyongyang. Kenneth Bae, by profession, is a missionary from Washington State and was arrested in November 2012 in North Korea. Bae was sentenced to 15 years’ hard labor for crimes against the state and Miller was sentenced to six years of hard labor who was in custody since April this year.

On their release and homecoming, President Barack Obama from the White House, said, “It’s a wonderful day for them and their families. Obviously we are very grateful for their safe return and I appreciate Director Clapper doing a great job on what was obviously a challenging mission.”

Regarding the involvement of Clapper in the case of releasing the imprisoned, no information was being leaked by the U.S. government. However, he has done an exceptional and praiseworthy job behind freeing the U.S. citizens. Before this, the United States government had been having frequent talks with the North Korea government appealing for the released of the men on humanitarian grounds as Bae was said to have health problems.

Another reason for the release of the men may also be the trip of the US Preeident to Asia. As scheduled in advance, the president was about to meet Chinese leaders and talk with them regarding the ways of increasing influence with North Korea.

The happy and amazed son of Bae, stating his last talk with father says, “The brief time on the phone, he sounded good. I’m sure he will be back to his old self in no time. It came out of the blue. One minute he was doing farm labor and the next minute they are saying, ‘You are going home.’ Just like everyone else, he was surprised.”

Three Brilliant Fireballs Surprised Skywatchers in the U.S.

The skywatchers in the U.S. on Monday had a great time indeed with three brilliant fireballs lighting up the sky that can simply mesmerize anybody. Well, not all three of the fireballs were natural as one out of those was man made.

The first of the fireballs was observed at 9:30 a.m. CST over Arkansas, the second appeared over Chicago at about 6:30 p.m. CST and the third was spotted over West Virginia at about 6:22 p.m. EST on Monday. The very sight of the three fireballs appearing at different times in different places in the US sky was quite amazing and one-of-its-kind to the watchers. But it was only later on that it could be discovered that one out of the three fireballs was man-made and was basically an act of product promotion.

It could be found later on that the fireball that was witnessed over the sky of Chicago was man-made, but the rest of the two were real meteors. It was only after a video posted on Tuesday that the fireballs could be perceived as a stunt by Red Bull for promoting their drink. The video shows at least one person who appeared to be jumping out of a plane in a wingsuit over Chicago’s Lake Michigan shoreline. The stunt man is followed by a one of the flyers that releases a bright stream of sparks behind him and this over all looked quite like a fireball!

Bill Cooke, head of NASA’s Meteorite Environment Office at the Marshall Space Flight Center also expressed his doubt over the fireball and said that it was “a bit of a puzzle.” On watching the video, Cooke said, that the fireball like object was moving “much slower than a normal meteor.”

Regarding the appearance of the other two fireballs on the very same day, Cooke said, “People see fireballs all over the Earth, every night of the year,” Cooke added. “This is not unusual for this time of the year.”

Oregon boy’s dead body recovered after mother reports throwing him off bridge

The dead body of a 6-year-old boy was found late Monday after his mother reported throwing him off the famous Yaquina Bay Bridge. According to a statement made by Newport Police Chied Mark Miranda, the body of the deceased was found nearby the Embarcadero resort.

The first call was at received at roughly 6:30 p.m. local time. Miranda told the boy’s mother was peaceful and considerate when talking with officials. KPTV stated that the woman has been taken into custody for interrogation and was anticipated to be accused at some time during the night.

The manhunt was headed by the Coast Guard and Lincoln County government. The Coast Guard dispersed two boats and a chopper to search the water. The county’s marshal marine garrison, county search and relief teams were also included in the hunt.

Jonathan Klingenberg, the Coast Guard Petty 3rd class Officer informed the Associated Press that he comprehended the boy’s body was found sailing nearby a marina.

A 4-year-old son was killed when a woman threw her two small children off a Portland bridge in May 2009; however, the 7-year-old daughter somehow survived. The woman names Amanda Stott-Smith was pronounced guilty in 2010 and passed sentence of 35 years in prison.

It was in 1936 when the famous Yaquina Bay arched bridge of Oregon coast was opened. Moreover, it is also recorded as an important state spot on the National Register of Historic Places.

One World Trade Center Finally Begins Its First Working Day after 9/11

For some employees it was a new day and a new start the moment they stepped into their office as they were entering not simply to anywhere, but into the World Trade Center. At last, there could be offices and employees seen again in the 104-story-tower after the Twin Towers fell in 2001.

The World Trade Center that suffered through the most of the losses after the 9/11 attack, is now ready to be occupied by companies and business houses again. This leaves the new tenants of the building going through a mixed feeling of joy and sadness reminiscing the mournful past that this place went through.

Mary Ann Casey, a paralegal heading into the new building and an employee of Condé Nast is one of the new tenants entering the One World Trade Center. She, along with 174 other employees of her company is moving into the building to operate their official activities from the Trade Center from now on. She said, “Considering what went on here 13 years ago, it was very tragic, but we are going forward and I think it’s wonderful to have this opportunity to work in the biggest building in the western hemisphere.”

Not only Mary Ann Casey, but some 3,400 employees of the media company will move into the one world Trade Center. So, with new months to come, new people and new hustle and bustle will again make place in the building.

There were different statement by different employees, but the common thing about them was their mixed feeling on entering into the building. Executive assistant Wendy Schoeler said that she was “nervous, excited and feeling hopeful and positive about it. I am thinking it’s a new chapter and a new start.”

Early deployment of feathering function blasted the Virgin Galactic Spacecraft

Virgin Galactic Spacecraft blasted off in California’s Mojave Desert at the time of a flight test on Friday, killing one captain and terribly wounding the other. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is heading the inspection to find out what resulted in the blast.

An inspection into the lethal crash of a Virgin Galactic spacecraft has brought to light that a function to aid the craft plunge into the atmosphere was used earlier, a state safety inspector said on Sunday.

The pivoting tail boom of SpaceShipTwo, a primary aspect for re-invading the atmosphere, whirled early, according to the Christopher Hart, NTSB Chairman, though he added it was too early to decide if this was the main reason behind the blast.

The billionaire, business-tycoon, Richard Branson is the man behind the apprentice space tourism organization of Virgin Galactic.

In a news conference, Hart announced that the investigating team has identified that the “feathering” system used to plunge into the air from space should have been used when the spacecraft was traversing about 1.4 times the pace of sound.

Rather, the feather started pivoting when the rocket-powered vessel was traversing at Mach 1, he said, utilizing a mechanical word for the pace of sound at a specific altitude.

Hart added that the feathering system which binds the vessel in half to build more atmospheric burden was opened early by the fellow pilot, according to a video from the spacecraft’s cabin. And after two seconds, the spaceship’s tail passage started to fold.

Hart said in a statement, “I’m not stating that this is the cause of the mishap. We have months and months of investigation to determine what the cause was”.

When asked whether the NTSB was contemplating the probability of pilot mistake, Hart added: “We are not ruling anything out. We are looking at all of these issues to determine what was the root cause of this mishap … We are looking at a number of possibilities, including that possibility (of pilot error).”

Murder Accused Eric Fein has been taken into custody

The frenzied manhunt ends with Eric Frein’s arrest on Thursday night when U.S. inspectors caught him in the airport hanger adjacent to Buck Hill. Frein was a prime suspect in the manslaughter of one Pennsylvanian trooper where he supposedly shot and killed him turning it into a seven-week long search.

On Sept. 12, the 38-year-old Cpl. Bryon Dickson was supposedly open fired by Frein at a small distance from the Blooming Grove State police barracks. He died because of the injuries while his 31-year-old associate inspector Trooper Alex Douglass was badly wounded.

Searching for Frein in the same location for more than two months, the squad spotted the accused and instantly asked him to surrender. Right there he was taken into custody, hence preventing any undesirable incident from taking place.

Commissioner Frank Noonan cleared in a statement that, “He did not just give up because he was tired”, but, “He gave up because he was caught”.

The uneventful takedown of the suspect, who kneeled and surrendered amicably when officers approached him, put an end to weeks of tension and turbulence in the district, since federal authorities were often forced to close down schools, cancel outdoor events, and abandon roads to follow him. The local people grew impatient of helicopters whirring overhead every now and then, while small businesses faced huge losses and town supervisors called off a well-acclaimed Halloween march.

Prosecutors will now ask for the death punishment for Frein, since he is undergoing several capital crimes: first-degree murder, bloodshed of law official and first-degree attempt-to-murder case. He is also suffering from some other charges involving two counts of custody of arms of mass murder after police officials witnessed pipe bombs during their hunt.

Frein was a part of military re-enactor’s group where he played the role of a Serbian soldier. He also enacted a small role in a 2007 flick based on a concentration camp survivor and aided with props and old citations on a narrative about World War I.

Frein was named as one of the most wanted criminals in a list of top 10 by FBI.

During the first half of this month, the officials found a journal in the woods documenting the killing the Pennsylvanian trooper. They also informed campgrounds where the suspect was thought to have taken refuge, cooking over petite fires even as massively armed officials searched for him. Inspectors found pipe bomb booby ploys and a rifle sticking around a tree, but had only had a few of groundless findings of Frein.

Mother Requests Nurse to Adopt Her Son after Her Death

Shocking and heartbroken it is but this has happened for real that a mother of an 8 year old son who is diagnosed with liver cancer has requested her nurse to take her son after her death. The mother of the little boy is Tricia Somers, 45-year-old who expressed her interest and request that she made to the nurse Tricia Seaman during a recent interview with WHTM-TV.

“If I die, can you take my son,” this is what the mother had to ask her nurse who got to know about the presence of the deadly disease in her body only in March. The major tension for her after the discovery of the disease in her body was for Wesley, her son whom she worried will be lonely after her death with nobody to take care of him. As both of her parents have passed away from the same disease- cancer with no constant support of her husband, she worried if her son would be lonely and helpless in her absence.

Seaman, who is a registered nurse at Pinnacle Health’s Community General Campus in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and also is the mother of three daughters and a son with her husband was Somers’ nurse in the hospital. Somers, while explaining about Seaman, said, “She came in and I just had this overwhelming feeling of comfort.” May be due to this feeling of comfort that she felt for Seaman which made her take this big decision of her life of giving her son to Seaman.

Seaman, who has also being interviewed by WHTM-TV said that Somers’ proposal came to her just when she and her husband was thinking about adopting a son. She said, “Sometimes God has a plan for our lives. Sometimes we think we know what that plan is, but we really do not.”
