Just like that, the year 2021 is also coming to an end. In midst of all the chaos, pandemic anxiety, and uncertainty, the Entertainment industry was able to belt out more than a handful of great movies. Be it the cute animations or the thrillers that have had us glued to our seats, be it the comedy that had our belly ache or the actions that left us bewildered and thirsty for more; we have a very diverse collection of all.

Here Are the Top 5 Best English Movies of 2021

The Red Notice

An action-comedy thriller released on Netflix, starring the comedic Rayn Reynolds, horrific Dwayne Johnson, and the stunning Gal Gadot, the movie was all set to be a success. With its to-the-point comedic punches, some jaw-dropping actions, and endless twists, the movie has all glued to the seats and shocked to oblivion scene after scene. The movie has a rating of 6.4/20 on IMDb.

The Conjuring – Devil Made Me to It

Who in the world had not seen Conjuring and been blown out of their mind. Those spine-chilling screams, goosebumps-worthy scenes and heart-dropping anxiety alone is enough to keep everyone wanting to watch the movie and yet stop the urge to shut it down at the same time. Though the movie has mixed responses from critics, with a few considering it not on par with the Conjuring Universe and others considering it a good fit, the Michale Chavez direction had the audience in the loop. The movie has received 55% ratings from Rotten Tomatoes, 6.5/10 from IMDb, and 4/5 from Times of India.

The Suicide Squad

3) Is a  DC movie directed by James Gunn, released by the start of August. Described as highly grotesque and somehow funny, the movie is something you might be interested in watching with a couple of friends, away from the prying eyes of a child. The movie has a rating of 90% in Rotten Tomatoes, 4/5 by Times of India, and 7.3/10 by IMDb.

2) Shang Chi and The legend of 10 rings

No one expected an Asian Marvel superhero, and funny enough how the person who asked the Marvel same in 2013, ended up portraying the Asian superhero in 2021. The movie is action-packed, with a lot of comedy, quite a back story, and a dash of romance. The movie has a rating of 4.5/5 in Times of India, 7.5 in IMDb, and 92% by Rotten Tomatoes.

Spiderman – No Way Home

What a great way to end the year other than the release of the most anticipated Spiderman trilogy. With the second movie, Spiderman – Far from Home, ending with such a terrific shock, the expectations for this one were raised way higher, and it won’t be wrong to say the movie stood up to the same. The movie has a rating of 4.5/5 in Times of India, 9.1/10 in IMDb, and 94% in Rotten Tomatoes.
